Lesson Pricing & Packages

All lessons and packages are listed after tax (5% GST included) with the exception of the Graduated Licensing Program, which is GST exempt for students under eighteen years of age. A behind the wheel lesson is 90 minutes long. All prices include a one time non-refundable (new student) sign up fee of $15.

Cancellations: If a lesson is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, there will be a $90 late cancel fee applied to your account.

Single Lesson: $210 (includes GST):

Please note that we only offer single lessons to drivers that already hold an existing class 7 (N) or class 5 license and are looking for a driving refresher.
Packages of two lessons are available at a discount for people that hold the above licenses.

Packages for Teens and Adults (Broken Down):
*Savings is based on a single lesson rate of $210 for a 1.5 hour lesson

Four Lessons (Six hours of behind the wheel time):
$780 (save $60)

Six Lessons (Nine hours of behind the wheel time):
$1120 (save $140)

Eight Lessons (Twelve hours of behind the wheel time):
$1400 (save $280)

Fourteen Lessons (Twenty-One hours of behind the wheel time):
$2500 (save $440). **This package also includes the use of The Confident Driver school car and warm up for road test at no additional cost ($325 additional savings totaling $765 savings!).

Road Test Package (2.5 hours includes 75 minute warm up with instructor and car rental for test):
$325
A student must have a minimum of four lessons with The Confident Driver School, taken prior to their scheduled road test in order to qualify for car rental/test package. The Confident Driver has the right to refuse car rental to anyone that is not road test ready. To inquire about this option and/or purchase, please contact office@confidentdriver.net.


ICBC Approved GLP (Graduated Licensing Program) Classroom Experience with Drivewise BC

The Confident Driver driving school is pleased to be in partnership with Drivewise BC (located in Victoria, BC) in order to offer the GLP Program to students across the Cowichan Valley area. The in-car instruction time will be executed by The Confident Driver Driving school and the classroom portion will be taught by Drivewise BC (online via webinar).

$1650 - 20 hours online learning and 12 hours of behind the wheel lessons

The Breakdown:

The DriveWise GLP course consists of three key components designed to provide comprehensive and flexible learning experience:

1.      Instructor-Led Classroom Sessions (available via Zoom)

  • 12 hours, evenings or weekends are available

  • Delivered live by certified DriveWise instructors

  • Fun, interactive, and includes real-world scenarios

2.      At-Home, Self-Paced E-Learning Modules

  • 8 modules that mirror the live classroom sessions

  • Packed with videos, activities, and BC-specific road safety lessons

  • Access 24/7 on any device

3.      Behind-the-Wheel Driving Lessons

  • Minimum of 12 hours of 1-on-1 instruction (8 x 90 minutes)

  • Delivered by DriveWise BC or a local Partner School

  • Covers beginner to road test preparation

*Please note that this price does not include warm up and car rental for road test. It is an additional $325 for the road test package.

Additional information regarding the GLP Program:
In order to be eligible to qualify for the six months off of the class 7N license and the two high school credits, students must complete the approved driver training course within a one year period from start to finish while in the learner stage of GLP. This includes completing all required Zoom classes and take a minimum of 12 hours of behind the wheel instruction time with an ICBC licensed instructor (Confident Driver).

Due to The Confident Driver being an affiliate of Drivewise BC, GLP sign-ups are currently not available to register through the website at this time.
